Underworld AcademyThe Underworld Academy Is Coming!

Why the Underworld Academy?

Lately when I’ve been watching television shows or reading police procedurals, a number of things jump out. I see DNA markers gathered at crime scenes, no matter where, and processed that same day.

In another show, the police have high-tech hologram computer screen that get instant access to inter-agency data. Still later, we have super-villains that have encyclopedic knowledge of the inner-workings of law enforcement protocols.

I would throw the “B.S.” flag on this… if I had any clue as to what law enforcement and criminals actually did.

In a new feature called The Underworld Academy, we’ll put these pre-conceived notions of crime and law enforcement under the magnifying glass. UA will look at the world of crime and law enforcement from the ground level.

We’ll talk with law enforcement and other experts in the field to get the inside scoop on how crimes and capers are put together and taken apart. We’ll look at the seamy underbelly of the seamy underbelly.

Starting next week, and then what I’m sure will be irregularly after that, we’ll look closely at a scam, procedure, or investigation, kick the tires, and take it for a spin. Figuratively speaking, of course.

Email us any questions you might have on your favorite racket or scam and we’ll do our best to get our experts to explain the finer points.

And while we at the Noir Factory in no way endorse the practical implementation of any capers or schemes, we realize that… well… whatever happens, happens, you know…?
