The Noir Factory began a long time ago not only as a way to connect with readers but also as a way to create a community of people who just love noir, crime, mysteries, and good, old-fashioned hard-boiled stories.
In addition to writing mysteries, I also have a interest in true-crime stories, the history of the genre, and the stories of the men and women who wrote them. From Sam Spade and Raymond Chandler to Gillian Flynn’s Girl Gone, the Noir Factory takes a hard look at where the genre started and where it is going.
At the Noir Factory I also take aim at the persona of the hard-boiled detective, including how they are portrayed in books and movies, comic books, and television. We examine the clues left at exotic locals such as Vegas, Atlantic City, and the Catacombs of Paris, as well as Alcatraz, hidden Speakeasies, and the local bar.
